Meet Phoebe B, Personal Trainer and Ex-Professional Ballet Dancer

Phoebe is an ex-professional ballet dancer, her experience demonstrates true physical and mental dedication towards her fitness. Her goal now is to encourage and teach others how to improve their lives.

What fitness and wellness areas do you specialise in?
I was a professional ballet dancer and have danced my whole life. Now I specialise in body conditioning, yoga, pilates and general fitness.

Why did you sign up to be a TruBe trainer?
I like the idea of being able to train people where they want to train, in an environment that isn’t as daunting as a public gym or sports centre.

What is your biggest client success story?
It’s hard to pin point one, but after training with me, one lady lost some weight and gained so much more confidence that her own business also then grew with her confidence. It’s great to see how  positive momentum can affect other areas of our lives.

What’s you’re favourite way to really finish off the end of a session?
I like a nice long stretch to good music.

What was your last health and fitness obstacle and how did you overcome it?
I injured my knee during a half marathon. Running is one of my favourite things to do, so having to stop for a month was extremely hard. But patience is the key! Now I’m fully healed and back running again.

Your favourite piece of TruBe equipment?
Resistance bands! There are so many different things you can do with them!

How do you treat yourself?
One word…. Chocolate.

What is your favourite instagram account you follow?
National Geographic and Globe Wanderers, such great pics from around the world!

What is your favourite motivational quote?
“You never know how strong you are, until strong is your only choice.” – Bob Marley.

What is the best piece of advice you have received from a mentor?
Nothing is going to change, until you do.

What sportswear brands do you most like?
Lululemon and Reebok.

What music do you love listening to when you work out?
It depends what training I’m doing. If it’s high intensity, I like some good upbeat house tracks. For stretching and yoga, more chilled and relaxing music.

How do you find balance in your life?
Making sure I spend time with loved ones and also making time for me, alone time is very important!
