Minnie is one of our newly onboarded yogis offering private yoga lessons through our app. She specialises in dynamic practice with creative sequences to help you get more flexible, build strength and de-stress. This will allow you to connect the mind, body and breath to experience not only the physical benefits of yoga, but also the mental benefits.
What is it about yoga that you love?
I started to take my practice more seriously after I noticed the mental benefits of yoga. I had never experienced anything like it and I suddenly became more positive and motivated with a clear and calm mind. I was benefiting from the work away from the mat just as much as on it! This was the reason that I wanted to become a teacher. I felt that people must experience this and I wanted to share the magic of yoga!
What is your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement would be quitting the security of my job in the city and following my dreams and starting up my own yoga business.
What motivates you on your fitness journey?
If I don’t exercise I get grumpy and feel sluggish. Exercise helps with my energy levels and my moods and it gives me such a buzz feeling strong and toned. I believe in balance, so after a week off, I remember how I felt when I didn’t exercise, which motivates me to get back into my fitness routine and feel great again. Having said that, rest is essential and it is important to not over do it and listen to our bodies.
How do you keep active whilst travelling?
I usually walk a lot as I like to explore local towns and take part in hikes when I have the chance as it is a great way to discover parts of the country and experience breathtaking views. I also love to try a yoga class if there is one available!
One thing you can’t live without?
My yoga mat! I’m so grateful as it’s where my all my discoveries and new life began. Also my Mother and my Family. Family are a huge part of my life and without them I wouldn’t be where I am today.
