Rickie M is one of our newest TruBe trainers who specialises in Boxing, Kickboxing and Personal Training. His energy and hard work has enabled him to become a professional MMA fighter competing in various competitions. He also has extensive skills in martial arts and is a confident and passionate personal trainer with a considerable amount of experience.
Why did you sign up to be a TruBe Trainer?
I find the concept of TruBe really innovative and being part of this team means I can work whilst doing something I’m passionate about. I love the rewarding aspect of helping others on their fitness journey.
What is your biggest client success story?
My biggest client success story is training a young boy of 14. By training him I gave him a focus while getting him off the streets and avoiding a life of crime. He now competes in Muay Thai and focuses his energy on his fitness and training which is extremely rewarding.
What is your greatest achievement?
My greatest achievement so far would have to be being on Sky TV for one of my fights.
What is your favourite way to finish off the end of a session?
One of my favourite ways to finish off a session would be a high intensity round off. For example, 3 sets of 25 burpees 25 push ups and 25 sit ups. This obviously varies depending on the client’s fitness levels. Following this, a good stretch of course!
How do you motivate yourself and do you have a favourite motivational quote?
Knowing I have to work hard to achieve my goals and follow my dreams is a huge motivation for me. I find that visualising the end results helps me to push myself and keeps me on track. I don’t really have a motivational quote but I strongly believe that nothing worth having ever comes easy.
